Position: Head of Marketing
Responsibilities:
- Lead, organise and direct the Marketing Division and its subsidiary companies, including Marketing Strategies & Positioning, Digital Marketing, and Communications.
- Key to the formulation and deliverance of a fully integrated marketing strategy by formulating and uncovering insights and strategies to develop and implement marketing and branding strategies to increase brand awareness and market share through the use of integrated communication channels, either traditional or digital, internally or externally.
- Identify suitable channels for the targeted customers, evaluate marketing activities and the return of investment (ROI) of such activities. Also, to identify short-term and long-term scheduling, budget, and resource needs, including the development and management of an annual marketing budget, profit/loss projections, expenditure spending, and other financial considerations
- Responsible for establishing and fostering key strategic partnerships to achieve marketing objectives
- Understands key marketing performance metrics and tracking tools to provide market research, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign results, and consumer trends in order to translate results into actionable insights for the marketing team.
- Is the subject matter expert and will offer advice for assigned media assets i.e. marketing, branding, digital marketing, social media, advertising, public relations, CSR and respective markets.
Admin
- Plan, build and operationalise the Marketing department.
- Supervise the Marketing, Communications and Digital Marketing teams and scope of work.
- To manage the overall division budget.
- Setting, monitoring and reporting of department and team goals.
- To define/refine, direct and manage relevant business processes in the Communications, Digital Marketing and Marketing Strategies & Positioning Teams.
Marketing
- Crafting strategies for all Marketing teams, including Digital, Advertising, Communications and Creative.
- Analyse marketing initiatives to improve marketing effectiveness and ROI.
- Spearhead, develop, drive and implement marketing plans, including promotional calendars and programmes, new product launches and other marketing related projects.
- Ensure that brand and product messages are strong and consistent across all teams and material.
- Research, identify and build new business opportunities – including new market segments, market share growth, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services.
- Drive the use of innovative approaches to develop cutting edge campaigns.
- Establish key metrics to track performance of marketing initiatives.
- Develop and manage marketing-related budgets.
- Monitor competition (pricing changes and new products and features).
- Conduct brand, customer and product research.
Branding and Communications
- Develop and drive branding and advertising initiatives.
- Brand guardian and CI management.
- Develop, drive and implement advertising plans for both product and brand-related activities.
- Drive and participate in the development of branding and corporate identity initiatives.
- Event organisation.
- To liaise and negotiate with advertising, digital, event and other external partners to ensure advantageous contracts.
- Responsible for PR & development of press releases, speeches etc.
- Development and handling of CSR related activities
Digital Media
- Formulate and drive digital media strategies.
- Management of the various assets and channels including social media networks, SEO, Google ads, website content and email marketing to deliver a marketing message which is persuasive and cohesive.
- Tracking and monitoring of assets to provide accurate reports on the Return of Investment on campaigns for effectiveness and improvement.
- Management of content writer and graphic designer.
The Successfully Placed Candidate:
- 17 years of work experience in the marketing field.
- Proven history of success in senior marketing positions and development of marketing campaigns.
- Well experienced in managing sales tactical campaigns, developing strategic marketing and media plans, orchestrating large-scale events, and executing effective corporate communications strategies across various platforms, including agencies, customers, and partnerships.
- Held a central role overseeing the Marketing, Branding & Communication department at some of Malaysia’s leading financial institutions.
